This Grixis deck's commander Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge is in the game for the long haul, exiling cards off the top of everyone's deck and allowing you to cast the most broken spell you find.

There's plenty of fun interactions in the deck to explore. One fun combo is controlling a Nekusar, the Mindrazer or Price of Knowledge on the battlefield and then activating Jace's Archivist or using any of the other cards that force your opponents to draw. Most of the action happens later on in this deck, such as casting Army of the Damned or Cruel Ultimatum, and early creatures like True-Name Nemesis,Vampire Nighthawk, and Augur of Bolas play a pivotal part in ensuring you live long enough to cast your huge spells with or without the help from Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge. Hooded Horror is an unblockable threat when you're attacking the player with the most creatures.

Curse of Chaos, Curse of Inertia, and Curse of Shallow Graves are three new auras that you'll use to "curse" one of your rivals with. Nivix Guildmage allows you to copy any of the powerful spells you play or snag with Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge and Charmbreaker Devils will randomly Regrowth one spell each turn, perhaps that Illusionist's Gambit which saved your hide and killed one of your rivals last turn. With plenty of mana fixing from Evolving Wilds to Opal Palace you shouldn't have any color problems with the included lands, although making a few upgrades with the new Temple lands or any other powerful nonbasics you have kicking around certainly wouldn't hurt.

Sol Ring and Commander Tower return, however Lightning Greaves has been replaced with Swiftfoot Boots. Speaking of reprints, there's quite an enormous value in the deck. Massive isn't even an appropriate word to use when describing the amazing amount of value crammed into the deck, which retails for £24.99. Baleful Strix is an uncommon that was printed in "Planechase (2012 Edition)" and Strategic Planning is a very hard to find uncommon from "Portal: Three Kingdoms" . Additionally, a few cards appear for the first time in new the card frame and with alternate art. Granted these cards and others reprinted in "Mind Seize" will most likely go down in value, however getting a whole deck of cards for less than market price of just one of them is an total steal.
